Encaustic paintings require a bit different care then traditional paintings.
Encaustic is beeswax melted with damar resin. So in higher temperatures the wax will become soft.
Do not place an encaustic painting in direct sunlight or in a very hot area.
Also do not store in extremely cold temperatures, as the wax may crack.
